What is the JLPT?
The Japanese Language Proficiency Test (日本語能力試験, Nihongo Nōryoku Shiken), or JLPT, is a standardized test designed to assess and certify the Japanese language proficiency of non-native speakers.
The JLPT evaluates three main areas: grammar and vocabulary knowledge, reading ability, and listening ability. It has five levels of difficulty:
- N1: Most advanced
- N2: Advanced
- N3: Intermediate
- N4: Elementary
- N5: Basic
Our N5 (beginner Level) and N4 (Advanced beginner Level) Classes are designed to build a strong foundation in Japanese. These courses cover:
- Sentence Structure: Learn the basics of forming sentences
- Usage of Particles: Understand how to properly use Japanese particles.
- Basic Conjunctions: Learn to connect ideas and sentences.
- Verb Conjugations: Get familiar with basic verb conjugations.
- Simple Everyday Kanji: Acquire basic understanding of simple everyday Kanji
Also covers:
- Hiragana (ひらがな) and Katakana (カタカナ) Proficiency: Develop mastery of these fundamental Japanese scripts.
Our N3 classes elevate your Japanese skills to an intermediate level, comparable to that of Japanese middle school students. At this stage, you should be able to navigate everyday situation in Japan with ease.

- Engaging in discussions with native Japanese speakers.
Ideal for:
- Those planning to work at a Japanese company.
Professionals looking to incorporate Japanese into their work.
Our N2 (Proficient Level) and N1 (Expert Level) Classes are the most challenging, focusing intensively on reading and listening comprehension.

- Advanced reading comprehension for complex texts.
- Listening comprehension for advanced conversations and media.
- Expressing yourself fluently in both casual and formal situations.
